The average time an executor spends settling an estate, spread over about 16 months. Now imagine doing it with no list.2
For people who have already picked the funeral song
One encrypted binder for everything your people will need when you're gone: the logins, the policies, the letters, the "where did they put the…". Locked on your device, and opened only for the people you choose, only when you stop checking in.
Free for 30 days. No card needed. Dying not required.
Only 24% of Americans have a will.1 The rest will be improvising, posthumously. And even a will doesn't say which bank has the checking account, where the policy is kept, or how to get into the phone.
What your people face when nothing is written down. You will be unavailable for comment.

Has unclaimed property sitting with a state. About $70 billion in all. Money that is alive and well, and very lost.3

In lost life insurance benefits matched to families by one regulators' search tool. Many never knew the policy existed. (The policy knew. It kept quiet.)4
120passwords
The personal logins the average person keeps. "Try the dog's name" covers about four.5
Six sections that cover the first calls, the money, the papers and the things only you can say.
A guided checklist: who to call first, the insurance, the bills on autopay, the pets, your wishes. The funeral playlist counts as a wish.
Phone, email and bank logins. Import them from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Bitwarden or 1Password. Ghosts can't click "forgot password."
The will, policies, deeds and titles, scanned and kept with everything else. Coffin-shaped folder not included.
The things you'd want each of them to read, one letter per person. Last words, with time to revise.
Record in your browser in 1080p, so they can see your face and hear your voice again. Finally, a eulogy you get to direct.
Choose who receives what, one entry at a time. Your spouse gets everything; each child gets their own letter; your brother-in-law gets the lawn chair.
The guided checklist
Most vaults hand you an empty box and wish you luck. Toe Tag Plan asks the twelve questions your family will actually have, in plain words, and shows how far along you are. Write one a night and you're done in two weeks. Procrastinate, and you'll finish them from the other side.
Your binder stays shut while you're well, and opens when you can't check in. Every step can be stopped by you.
Pick how often: every 30 days by default, anywhere from a week to six months. A one-tap link arrives by email, and signing in counts too.
Miss a check-in and we keep reminding you for 14 days. Busy, traveling, in the hospital for a week: nothing happens yet. We're nosy, not trigger-happy.
Then we ask the people you named: "Have you heard from them?" Any one answer of "they're fine" stops everything and tells you. Trusted contacts never see your binder and don't need an account. Pick people who would actually notice.
Seven days by default, with loud notices to you the whole time. Your cancel wins, right up to the last minute. Yes, the "I'm not dead" button works.
Your people open their entries with their own key. Nobody else, Toe Tag Plan included, can read them, before or after. We're a very discreet undertaker.
Security
We store your binder, but we can't open it. That's the whole design.
How we keep it privateEverything is encrypted in your browser with your password and a Secret Key only you hold. We only ever receive the locked copy.
Every entry has its own key, unlocked only for the people you picked, and only after release.
Every file this site serves has a published fingerprint, and an outside check compares them hourly.
No analytics scripts, ad networks or other third-party code run on any page of this site.
The question everyone asks: what happens to my binder if you go out of business? Our plan doesn't need us to be around.
12 months
Notice to every owner on every channel, with time to export or move.
Time-locked
For owners who don't answer, their people receive a locked key that opens on a set date, using a public, independent network.
No servers needed
After that date, your people open what you left them with their own key and a free, published tool.
Try everything free for 30 days, no card needed. After that, one payment a year.

Get startedAn encrypted binder for everything your family would need if something happened to you: what to do first, accounts and passwords, papers, letters and videos. It stays locked while you check in, and opens for the people you chose when you can't. Think of it as a very organized ghost.
No. Your entries are encrypted in your browser before they're sent, with keys made from your password and your Secret Key. We store only the locked copy and never have what it takes to open it.
It's built so it can't open while you're well: two weeks of reminders, then two of your three trusted contacts have to agree, then a final countdown you can cancel. Any single "they're fine" from a contact stops it. Awkward for everyone, so we made it hard.
Use the Recovery Key from the Emergency Kit you print when you sign up. Because we can't read your binder, we can't reset it for you: if you lose your password and both keys, it can't be opened. Keep the kit with your important papers.
You invite them ahead of time. Each person creates their own account and confirms a short code with you, so they're ready before anything happens. They see nothing until release.
No. Toe Tag Plan keeps the practical things a will doesn't cover. You still need a will, and a lawyer for legal advice. We're not a law firm, and we're not your undertaker either.
The writing is. The locks aren't. See how we keep it private, and the honest limits too.
